Should I hire an attorney for this?, I purchased a policy online a few months ago within the first few days that i had this insurance I had a storm and damaged my vehicle (minor) with hail damaged I submitted out a claim, appraiser was sent they covered the loss sent a check to me, now i take it to the bodyshop and try to have it fixed but they need a supplement, they contact insurance co. but insurance co, makes many excuses over this they state I dont have full coverage which I do, and it was verfied with them that i do, the next few weeks pass and then I finally get a call from a manager at the insurance company stating that they mistakenly sent me out a check because I made a false claim report, they said that they can tell by my pictures before policy was bought that vehicle had damaged (which is an excuse of denying supplement) and stated the the adjuster overlooked everything point here is that insurance co, cancelled my policy by stating underwriting issues, so now Im without insurance coverage, the manager also stated she reported this to the texas state but mentioned she could not put a stop payment on the check and that I could still use it to fix the car or cashout the check... I am really dissapointed at how all this was handelled, Im thinking about getting an attorney, I already discussed and this issue with the Insurance company and Im basicly told that I lied about the claim and they end my call... Should I wait to get an attorney or should I just get one and go from there? I believe this is bad faith insurance coverage, What should I do? I mean I still have the check it is not cashed out, I cant really do much with this check everyone charges an arm and a leg, can they file insurance fraud charges and if so even though I know I did everything right should I get an attorney?

So to start this stressful story I just purchased a new truck in Louisiana. My guy and I pulled out of the dealership lot and literally about a minute down the road we were hit by a girl in a car who says she didn't see us. I know there's tests that men should have when they're around the age of 50. I need financial opinions on whole life insurance policies and am afraid to ask an advisor for fear that he/she would try to sell me something. We purchased three whole life policies in 1991. I know now that most experts advise against them now because of the high premiums, and advise buying term and investing extra money elsewhere......but we have accumulated a lot of dividends over the years but we're at the point now that we are tired of paying the premiums and thinking about having the dividends pay for the policies until the dividends run out....and then of course we would start paying for the polciies again. I'm a graduate student that has little saved due to paying my way through college and I drive a 1997 Dodge intrepid, of which kelly has a personal value of around 1,500 and a sale by used car dealer at around 3,000. I was curious to have some opinions as to how much car insurance one things I should get? I'm going to school in illinois, but my true home is in indiana so I could claim either state (not that I've seen it make much of a difference). From what I have found 100/300/50 is recommended, but I'm more looking as to whether collision or comprehensive is even worth it at this point due to my car's value? I (knock on wood) haven't been in an car accident while driving and I am a safe driver that follows within 5 of the posted speed limits (unless traffic is going 20+over).

2005 Mustang V6 Insurance?

I'm 20 years old, have a clean driving record, and qualify for most merit-based discounts (no wrecks, good grades, etc.). I'm currently driving a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with a 3.8L V6, and paying about $800 per year listed as the primary driver of this car. I cannot possibly stress enough that I know having a newer car that I am still making payments on will increase my insurance. My question is basically if the change in price will be drastically higher than if I got full coverage on my current car. I was thinking I could expect somewhere in the range of $1500 - $2000 per year. Is that about right, or am I way off?

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING Okay so long story short, my bank messed up and my car insurance didn't get paid for.. This was about 3 or 4 months ago. And then it just stopped withdrawing money from my account each month, and I figured I would just take my chances and go without insurance. I didn't cancel it or anything. I had State Farm, and I figured because I was getting a new car anyway I wouldn't bother, but getting a new car took a lot longer than than I thought and I just ended up getting one yesterday. So I got a 2000 Buick Park Avenue, it has airbags, all that. It should have a decently low insurance rate. I have gotten 1 speeding ticket, but no accidents. When I called for a quote though, through a different car insurance company, they told me it would be $230 a month. Why is it so high? Is it because I stopped paying for my State Farm Insurance?

I am just curious. My old ex GF had 3 kids before age 21. One of which ended up needed urgent care after birth and died in the hospital a few days later.
